Information We Receive
Search terms entered into a sponsored search box pass to the third-party provider operating that tool. Messages sent to us include the address, name, and text the sender supplies. Servers and analytics services may automatically receive an IP address, browser and device type, referring page, viewed pages, and time of access. Cookies or similar storage may remember preferences, measure traffic, support advertising, or help keep the service secure.
How Data Is Used
We may use collected information to operate and secure the site, answer messages, understand traffic, improve content, prevent abuse, and support advertising or partner tools. We do not use a search query to alter an HPD, DCR, court, or other government record.
Who May Receive Data
Information may go to search partners when their tool is used, analytics vendors that measure visits, and advertising networks that deliver or assess ads. It may also be disclosed to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order, or when reasonably needed to protect rights and system security.
Links and Outside Services
Official HPD, DCR, Judiciary, federal, and other links have their own privacy rules. This notice does not control those sites. Review an outside service's policy before sending personal information or creating an alert account.
Security Limits
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no website, email, or network transfer is fully secure. Do not send sensitive case documents, payment data, or identification numbers through a general message.
Cookies and Choices
Browser controls can block or delete cookies, though some features may work less well. Advertising or analytics providers may offer separate opt-out controls. A user may also avoid sponsored search tools and go directly to an official agency source.
Young Users
This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from minors. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information should contact us.
Your Privacy Requests
Subject to applicable law, a user may ask what personal information was provided directly, request correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern through the Contacts page. Hawaiʻi public-record rights involving government-held information are governed separately by the Uniform Information Practices Act, HRS Chapter 92F, and must be addressed to the agency holding that record.
Notice Changes
This privacy notice may change as services or legal duties change. The revised version takes effect when posted, so visitors should review it from time to time.
